Volunteer
Roles
The only way to guarantee a spot in our club is to volunteer with the club. Listed below are the various volunteer roles on offer.
On the Sand Roles
Age Managers for each group*
You are provided with training (online and in person) and a program for you to follow.
Assistant Age Managers
An additional set of hands that undertakes the same training as the AM. They assist the AM with running the age group and fill in if the AM is away.
Water Safety Crew*
This is an active role where you must be in the water to assist the Nippers. Training is provided, and some prior surf knowledge is helpful.
Age Manager Coordinator
Is responsible for the coordination of Age Managers throughout the season and is the communication link between Age Managers and the committee
Water Safety Supervisor*
Supervises water safety personnel for Nippers and member training as required.
First Aid Officer
Every session requires first aid officer who are able to administer basic assistance in the event of an emergency.
Dry Feet Roles (Club Committee)
Club President*
The club president is the principal leader of Bay and Basin Community Nippers Club Inc and is responsible for the club's administration.
Vice President
The club vice president provides a supportive role to the president and the committee.
Secretary*
The secretary is responsible for the club's routine administration and record-keeping, except for financial and member registrations.
Treasurer*
The treasurer is responsible for managing, recording and reporting Bay and Basin Community Nippers Club Inc finances.
Gear Stewart
Is responsible for the care and maintenance of all nippers' equipment. They are accountable for the Nippers trailer and equipment transport each week.
Fundraising Coordinator
Responsible for managing and implementing a range of fundraising activities.
Club Registrar
The registrar is responsible for updating SLSNSW with new and returning registrations.
Media and Publicity Officer
To arrange and coordinate all media and publicity activities of the club.
Please note that all committee positions are for a 1‐year term, commencing September and ending August the following year.
